Installation & Important Notes

Professional Installation Strongly Recommended

Because this upgrade involves your vehicle's airbag system,  professional installation by a qualified technician is strongly recommended.  Always disconnect the battery and wait at least 2 minutes for the airbag system to discharge before working near any airbag component. Improper installation can lead to airbag failure or unintended deployment.

Basic Installation Overview (For Reference Only)

1. Set the factory steering wheel completely straight  – This is crucial for proper alignment

2. Disconnect the battery  – Wait at least 2 minutes for the airbag system to discharge

3. Remove the factory airbag module  – Use pins to release it from the OEM wheel

4. Work carefully with the clock spring  – Prevent it from becoming unwound

5. Remove the OEM steering wheel  – You may need a steering wheel puller; factory torque spec is approximately 40 Nm / 30 ft-lb

6. Transfer all switches, wiring, and trim  from your original wheel to the new TT-ABC wheel

7. Install the new steering wheel  in the same centered position

8. Torque the center bolt  to factory specifications

9. Reconnect battery  and test all functions
