Get the right LED headlight kit for your car

How do you know if your headlights have lenses? How to choose car led headlights from different assembly lights?

I found that some riders don't even know the headlight assembly. Let's do a little science on the basics of headlights today!

What is a headlight assembly? The headlight assembly is the abbreviation of the headlight system. It is installed at both ends of the head of the car and used for lighting at night or in dim light. Together, the entire driving lighting system is collectively referred to as the headlight assembly.

What is a headlight assembly? The headlight assembly is the abbreviation of the headlight system.

How many types of headlight assemblies are there? Before upgrading and replacing the lights, first understand the design and structure of the headlight assembly of your car, and check whether the headlight assembly has a lens, and whether the high beam and the low beam are integrated or separated.

The distribution of headlight assemblies generally includes the following:

1. The first model: no lens for low beam, no lens for high beam, separation of far and near beam.

Low beam without lens High beam without lens, far and near beam split.

Figure 1: Low beam without lens High beam without lens, far and near beam split.

2. The second model: the near beam has a lens, the high beam has no lens, and the far and near beams are separated.

The second model: the near beam has a lens, the high beam has no lens, and the far and near beams are separated.

Fourth, the third model: the low beam has a lens, the high beam has a lens, and the far and near beams are separated.

The low beam has a lens, the high beam has a lens, and the far and near beams are separated.

Figure 3: The low beam has a lens, the high beam has a lens, and the far and near beams are separated.

The first three types of headlight assemblies are far and near split systems. To upgrade the headlights, you can choose to upgrade the low beam or high beam, or change both the distance and the distance. If you want to upgrade both the high beam and the low beam to LED headlights, you need two pairs of headlights. When replacing the low beam with a lensless headlight assembly, you need to choose LED headlights with tangent lines or that can hit the tangent lines of the original car, such as the nine plus one bullet or the Blue Parrot GT6. For headlight assemblies with lenses, it is recommended to consider high-brightness LEDs, such as the nine plus one blue parrot led headlight series. Because the lens will filter part of the refracted light of the headlight, the original brightness of the LED headlight may be filtered by the lens by 20-30%. In addition, the quality of LED lenses on the market is different, and the filtered residual light may be more. Therefore, during the upgrade process, it is recommended to choose high-brightness headlights.

In the headlight assembly of the high beam and the low beam, are there still many people who do not know which is the low beam and which is the high beam? By the way, let me introduce the high beam and low beam positions of the split headlight assembly: as shown in the figure below, the two ends of the car are near the low beam, and the bulb near the license plate position is the high beam.

The side of the car is the low beam, and the inner side is the high beam.

4. The fourth model: the far and near lights are integrated, no lens, the headlights are switched between far and near by one headlight, also known as dual lights, you can upgrade the lights and buy a pair of bulbs.

The far and near light is integrated, no lens, the lamp body realizes the far and near switching;

Figure 4: The far and near light is integrated, no lens, the lamp body realizes the far and near switching;

Figure 4: Lens-less far-near integration, the lamp body realizes far-near switching Lensless far-near integrated headlights, one headlight realizes the far-near switching, and one bulb contains two light sources, the low beam and the high beam, also known as dual lamps. Upgrading this type of headlight requires purchasing a spotlight headlight.

5. The fifth model: the far and near light are integrated, with a lens.

The fifth model: the far and near light are integrated, with a lens.

Figure 5: The far and near light is integrated, with a lens, and the lens realizes the far and near switching;

Figure 5: The far and near are integrated, there is a lens, and the lens realizes the far and near. The far and near integrated headlight with lens is the far and near light switched by the lens, which is actually the brightness of a light bulb, which requires the light bulb to be bright enough, otherwise the lighting effect will be insufficient and the driving experience will be poor.

The fourth and fifth types of headlight assemblies are far and near integrated structures. To upgrade the headlights, you only need to replace a pair of headlights to change the distance to LED. Although they are both far and near integrated headlights, the requirements for buying headlights are different. The brightest bulb is not necessarily the best, and the model that suits you is the best!
